Stoyan lends his name from his Grandfather, a famous ladies fashion designer from 1960s Bulgaria. But, instead of applying his creativity to clothing, Stoyan felt the pull of music ever since he moonwalked to Billie Jean at his 4th Birthday Party. At 10 years old he memorised Eminem's "The Eminem Show" record. This interest in Hip Hop lead him to discover classics such as A Tribe Called Quest's "We Got The Jazz", Wu Tang's "C.R.E.A.M." and Pharcyde's "Passin' Me By", and listened to them religiously in High School. After years of appreciating the culture, he decided to begin writing original lyrics in 2012.
The Sydney based rapper/producer has a gift for creating thought provoking, lyrical music. Taking influence from 80’s New York hip hop and freestyle jazz, Stoyan has successfully developed a rich, eclectic style and has a genuine talent for “giving his listeners a unique hip hop experience” (Hhhappy Music).
Since debuting his live show, Stoyan has supported the likes of Ivan Ooze, Coda Conduct and The Tongue. He has performed in venues all over Sydney, including Newtown Social Club, The Beach Road Hotel and Brighton Up Bar and in the process, developed an energetic and engaging live show. His album launch was held in Create or Die warehouse in Marrickville to a packed out space of over 200 people as Stoyan and his 9 piece band performed every track off the album.
